15 Jul 1754 • Stafford County, Virginia
William received his share of his father's estate as a gift by deed dated July 15, 1754. It was approximately 200 acres and later sold to Moses Hopwood. His fathers will he states: I give to my son William Turner, 10 pounds current money and all my wearing apparel and no more of my estate.
William is named in the Virginia Public Claims, Fairfax County, as supplying 425 pounds of beef for American troops during the Revolutionary War. He was reimbursed 7.1.8.
