KIRKLAND, Mary E. "Lib", age 89, of Vonore, was escorted to heaven by her angels at 8:00 A.M. Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. She is preceded in death by husband Homer Kirkland, Infant son Edward Kirkland, parents Robert and Mollie Hunt, sisters Mae Millsaps, Prudie Stanton, Judy Summey and Hilda Keyees, brothers Coy and Pete Hunt. She was a member of Toqua Community Church. Survivors: Daughter & son-in-law: Becky & Butch Silver; Grandchildren: Bob (Nora) Silver, Greenback; Travis (Keri) Silver, Vonore; Great grandchildren: Kody, Folsom, Kampbell, Kory, Liza & Kannon Silver; Sister: Alice McAmis, North Carolina; Several nieces & nephews. A drive in graveside service will be held at 4:00 P.M. Saturday, at Citico Cemetery, Rev. Tim Heaton officiating. In lieu of flowers, family request donations be made to Blount Memorial Hospice. Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, friends will be asked to stay in their cars. Friends may call at their convenience from 12-2:00 P.M. Saturday at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home, Madisonville.
