Roy Dale Carter of Fort Worth passed away on April 13, 2020.

Roy was born on May 19, 1946 in Elk City, Oklahoma to the late Martin Carter and Eula Faye Adcox. He married Linda Kay Slocum and had four children. Roy proudly served his country, retiring as a Staff Sargent from the US Marine Corps. He enjoyed the little things in life such as picking blackberries and taking his children fishing and camping. Roy loved watching old westerns, but above all he cherished spending time with his family.

He reunites with his mother, Eula Faye Adcox; father, Pat Soloman; and brother, Clifford Carter.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 53 years, Linda; children, Tami Weckwerth (Jay), Brian Carter (Mindy), Tiffany Burud (Eric) and Amber Gilbert (Anthony); eleven grandchildren; sisters, Charolette Hammons and family and Glenda Trissel and family; sister-in-law, Susan Carter; and many friends.

A visitation will begin at 1:00 pm Thursday, April 16, 2020, at Azle and Lake Worth Funeral Home. A graveside will follow at Azleland Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
