Florence Thompson beloved wife of the late, Franklin F. Thompson Jr. Much loved mother of the late Marion Corrado (William) and John Thompson, (Melissa). Florence lived a full life as a wonderful mother, homemaker and worked as a waitress in many fine restaurants in Washington D.C. She loved country music, cooking and kept an immaculate house. She was highly skilled with crochet hooks and enjoyed making blankets for newborns. She was a member of Sparr Baptist Church and was a strong supporter of the children’s programs. Her life was a living example of one of her favorite Bible verses, Ephesians 4:32 – “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.” Most of all she loved her family and instilled in her children strong values that have served them well. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts. “A family is a circle of love, not broken by a loss, but made stronger by the memories’”
Due to the current Covid-19 emergency there will be limited formal services at this time. Burial will be at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida. A celebration of life will be held later in Maryland.
