John (J. T.) Skinner, Jr.
Born June 12, 1936 in Vardaman, MS to the late John Skinner, Sr. and Pauline Watkins. He graduated in the class of 1955 from Vardaman High School. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from Mississippi State University. He married the love of his life, Charlotte Young, on September 2, 1961. He was a retired engineer from Mid-South Engineering (Gadsden, AL), and a deacon of Southside Baptist Church (Southside, AL).
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Charlotte. He leaves behind one sister, Peggy Skinner, Vardaman, MS; 3 daughters, Sonya Skinner, Hoover, AL; Amy Edmondson (Paul), Vardaman, MS; Tara Grizzard (Shane), Southside, AL; 6 grandchildren, Ashley Hughes, Payton Edmondson, Kenneth Walls, Elizabeth Grizzard, Emma Grizzard, and Everett Grizzard; and one great-grandchild, Sawyer Hughes.
Due to the restrictions of COVID-19, the family is having an intimate family Graveside service for Daddy on Thursday, April 16, 2020 at 1:00pm at Hillcrest Cemetery in Vardaman.
