Deloris L. Dixson, age 93, Logansport, passed away at 9:50 a.m. on Monday, April 13, 2020, at Memorial Hospital.

Born December 5, 1926, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Harold and June Goltry Atherton.

On January 20, 1951, in Logansport, she was married to Cecil C. Dixson, who preceded her in death on July 19, 2007.

Deloris had been employed for 25 years at RBM (White-Rodgers). She had also been employed for 25 years as a greeter at Wal-Mart, where she knew many of Wal-Mart’s customers and they knew her.

She enjoyed traveling and especially her grandchildren. She and her husband, Cecil, had been active members of Ninth Street Christian Church.

Deloris’ best friend was her adopted shelter dog, Buddy.

Surviving are a son, Terry Dixson, Logansport; daughter, Karen (Gary) Butcher, Anoka; grandchildren, Bryan Dixson, Flora, Chad (Chelsea) Dixson, Logansport, Christopher (Mindy) Dixson, Roann, twin grandsons, Travis (Tasha) Butcher, Walton, and Terry (Sherry) Butcher, Camby, Amanda (Wally) Gebhardt, Adamsboro; fifteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

An infant daughter, Sandra Sullivan, and sister, Barbara Spencer, preceded her in death.

Funeral arrangements are private.
