Gary was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He loved to talk…no one was a stranger to him. He loved to play his guitar and sing those country songs. He would sing and play his guitar for anyone for hours and hours. He loved it and was very good at it.
Gary is survived by his brother Michael (Marianne) Ritchie of Zanesville, sister Loretta (Thomas) Stephan of Midland, TX, sisters-in-law Pauline (Roy) Ritchie of Marietta, Donna Ritchie, of Marietta, Pauline Ritchie of Williamstown and brother-in-law Richard Williams and many nieces and nephews. He held a special place in his heart for his nephew, Chris Ritchie and his wife Yvonne Ritchie and their son Christopher Ritchie.
He was preceded in death by both of his parents, brothers: Robert “Bobby” Ritchie, Leonard Ritchie, Sr., Leroy “Roy” Ritchie and Lester “Leck” Ritchie and sister Romona “Monie” Williams.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday (April 16) at 2:00 pm at Gravel Bank Cemetery. McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting the family and messages of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.Lankfordfh.com.
