A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 23 at Alamance Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary.
She was born on March 18, 1918, in Commerce, GA to the late Jim Hulen Oliver and Minnie Lou Irvin Oliver. Rosa married Virgil Cecil Reynolds on April 16, 1938.
She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Cecil Reynolds; brothers John Oliver and Richard Oliver; and sisters Runell Oliver Smith, Christine Roberts, and Hazel Oliver Whitley.
She is survived by her sons Wayne M. Reynolds (Linda), Harold D. Reynolds, and Jerry A. Reynolds (Helen). She is also survived by six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Reynolds was a member of Alamance Presbyterian Church, the Quilting Club, and the Monroe Sunday school class. She loved her Savior, reading the Bible, and spending time with family. She also loved quilting and crocheting. She made hundreds of quilts and other articles that will be cherished for generations.
Rosa loved all the staff at Alamance House and they loved her also.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alamance Presbyterian Church, 4000 Presbyterian Road, Greensboro, NC 27406, or Hospice of Alamance County, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
