Robert Duane Pollock, 87, of Randville, MI went home to be with his Lord and Savior on April 10, 2020.

He was born on August 28, 1932 in Iron Mountain, son of the late Edgar and Luella (Owen) Pollock. Robert married June (Ott) on June 30, 1956 and enjoyed 64 years together. He graduated from Channing High School in 1952 and attended Grace Bible Institute in Omaha, Nebraska. He pastored churches in Jansen, NE (3 yrs.), First Baptist Church, Norway, MI (8 yrs.) and shared God’s word as the “circuit riding preacher”, filling the pulpit when needed in Upper Michigan communities. He was a member of the Randville Bible Church where he taught Sunday School, preached and cared for those who attended. He enjoyed the fellowship of the 2nd Baptist Church family of Bennettsville, SC where they wintered with grandkids. He was a man that could tackle any type of project; starting as a mechanic and continuing through the years by always having a project to fix for himself or someone else. Through all his many talents he shared his faithful walk with Jesus. His love for his Lord was His greatest joy. His talents also included a love for music. He played the trumpet, harmonica and accordion and the whistling of hymns was enjoyed daily. His love for learning with computers led him to build a family tree; aided to long nights of learning and training that not only benefited him but his family and friends.

Robert is survived by his loving wife, June; children, Joy (Marc) Crane of Darlington, SC, Becky (Les) Gould of Green Bay WI, Jane (Mark) Erickson of Andover, MN, Daniel (Diane) Pollock of Kingsford, MI and Beth Shaw of Bean Station, TN; a brother, Ken (Verna) Pollock of Iron Mountain, MI; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and many relatives and friends.
