Irene was born on the family homestead in the town of Scott on June 15, 1919 the daughter of Edward and Millie (Schepp) Hermann. On March 28, 1940, Irene was united in marriage to Floyd Robert Baker.
Irene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Floyd; her daughter and son-in-law, Angie (Bruce) Schmidt; her granddaughter, Joy Schmidt; her two brothers, Lorin (Marvel) and Herbert Hermann.
