Kevin Lynn McClure of Pascagoula, MS, died July 10 following a lengthy illness. He was born on July 14, 1962 in Louisville, KY, and was the second child of Harvie Bond and Paula Wall McClure.
Kevin attended Graceville High School in Graceville, Florida and was a member of the 1980 graduating class of Northview High School in Dothan, Alabama, where he was a member of the National Honor Society, the Varsity Football Team and Concert Choir. In his senior year, he was named Alabama Male High School Singer of the Year by the Alabama Vocal Association.
Kevin attended the University of Alabama and graduated from William Carey College (WCU) in Hattiesburg, MS, in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. He began his professional career with the Chevron Corporation at the Pascagoula, MS, refinery and retired as Quality Control Division Manager at Chevron, El Segundo, California.
He was proceeded in death by his parents and grandparents, Harvie Benjamin and Iris Bond McClure of Jonesville, LA and Benjamin Harrison Wall of Lucedale, MS. He is survived by his sons, Garrett Benjamin and Garth Neal McClure of Madison, MS; sister, Lisa McClure Sudeiha of Mobile, AL; and maternal grandmother, Pauline Rogers Wall of Lucedale, MS.
