Peggy Fuller, age 77 of McDonough, Ga., passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Hope House Hospice in Griffin, Ga.

Mrs. Fuller was born January 16, 1940 in the Imlac Community of Meriwether County, Ga., the daughter of the late John H. McLendon and Nellie Huckaby McLendon. She was a 1958 graduate of Meriwether High School in Woodbury, where she excelled in sports as a star player on the girls’ basketball team. She worked many years for National Data in Atlanta, and in 1978 was named Employee of the Year. In addition, she also worked as a daycare keeper for Kids First Academy in McDonough, was a homemaker, and was a lifelong member of Jones Chapel in Woodbury.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Charlie A. Fuller of McDonough; two daughters, Pam Sams (William Salter) of Thomaston, Ga., and Lori McElheney (Alan) of Locust Grove, Ga.; grandchildren, Charlie Oxford (Coty) of Williamson, Ga., Todd Fuller and David McElheney, both of Locust Grove; a great-grandson, Wyatt Oxford and a great-granddaughter, Emma Oxford, both of Williamson.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 29, at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home in Manchester, with the Rev. Bill Lawrence officiating.

Interment will follow in the Woodbury City Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, at the funeral home.
