He is survived by his sister (who was his guardian), Mary Carpenter of Rosebud; brothers, Roger Carpenter and wife Melinda of Lead Hill, Ark. and Greg Carpenter of Rosebud; and by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
