Sandra Diane Morris, 70, of Neodesha passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2019 surrounded by her family at Wilson Medical Center after a long hard-fought battle with sarcoidosis. The family will greet friends at Christ Church, 1001 Elm St. Neodesha, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, December 26th. A celebration of Sandy’s life will be held on Friday, December 27th at 2:00 pm at Christ Church.

Howard L. and Evelyn B. (Johnson) Howell were blessed with the birth of Sandy on April 24, 1949 in Decatur, IL. Sandy attended school in Oakland, OR, Neodesha, KS and Sycamore, KS. Sandy made her home in Neodesha in 1972, and raised her 5 children, Byron, Curtis, Jeff, Shannon, and Shenna. She was an avid Oakland Raiders and Kansas City Royals fan, attending as many games as possible. Sandy loved to play bingo, dominos, cards, cooking and visit the local casinos. Sandy always looked forward to her vacations to North Carolina to the ocean. Most of all Sandy adored the time she spent with her family. She worked extra hard to ensure that each family gathering was special, whether it be a holiday gathering, birthday, or family dinner. Sandy will be greatly missed by all that knew her and be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

Sandy is preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Sheila Howell.

Her memory will carry on with her sons, Byron (Tiffany) Williams, Curtis (Trish) Williams, Jeff (Terry) Williams, daughters, Shannon (Trevor) Elam, Shenna (Jeff) Jones, brothers, Bryan (Rhonda) Howell, Wayne (Heidi) Howell, Flint (Barb) Howell, Sidney Howell, sisters, Teresa (David) Julian, Cheryl (JD) Moffatt, Lisa (Bruce) Parks, 25 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial donations can be made in Sandy’s name to Christ Church and can be left with Loran Fawcett Chapel.
