For many Years before and at the time of his Death, He was one of his Majesty's Council for the Colony of Connecticut, one of the Judges of the Superior Court, and a Colonel of the Militia; all which offices he discharged with Fidelity and honor. He firmly believed and Conscientiously Practiced the Christian Religion; was a kind Husband, a Tender Parent, and faithful Friend
