Our dear friend Kevin was taken from us much too soon....

Kevin William Burns was a son of William A. Burns and Shirley Jean Kellingsworth Burns. He was the brother of Steve.
Kevin married Shelley French, who passed away in 1998.

Kevin was a gentle soul with interests in old cars, food, dolls, horror movies, 1960's nostalgia and hearses. He was especially taken by the early death of a young woman named Judy Clark. He cared for her grave often.
We became friends on social media and shared many of the same likes. He was a funny, generous, caring individual. He had a cat named Clorox.
Kev had many friends on social media and even found his former girlfriend of 40 years ago;
they reconnected and he was thrilled.

Kevin discovered he had colon cancer just before the summer of 2019. He had surgery and chemotherapy for it and did very well until the fall.
On September 27th, 2019, Kevin was told despite his surgery and chemotherapy, the cancer had metastisized and he was given 3-4 months to live. With that grim news, he was going to have to move from his home to having permanent care at a nursing facility in Riverside, Missouri, where
he quietly left this world.

Kevin is survived by immediate family, his mother Shirley and his two sons, Luke and Adam, and
800+ friends on social media. I never personally met Kevin, but we exchanged Christmas cards and common interest posts. I wish I could have met him. As I told him however, someday, I'll meet him on the other side.
