John Arthur Seymour, 73, of Nederland, Texas passed away April 7, 2020.

He was born in Beaumont, Texas on June 14, 1946 to the late Alfie Seymour and Natalie Fridley Seymour.

He retired as an iron worker for the Local 125. John loved hunting, fishing, and watching western movies. He loved outdoor cooking with family and friends.

Those left to cherish John’s memory are his wife of 41 years, Marry Morrison Seymour of Nederland; his daughters, Renee Glover and her husband Richard of Beaumont and Barbie Gonzales and her husband Arnold of University Place, Washington; his step-daughter, Molly McCray of Port Acres; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great- grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings; his step-sons Frank McCray Jr. and Charles McCray; and his granddaughter, Ashely McCray Mallory.

All services are under the direction of Melancon’s Funeral Home and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
