BREWER – Dorothy M. (Bopp), R.N., 95, Johnstown, passed away April 10, 2020, at Windber Hospice. Born May 9, 1924, in Johnstown, daughter of Albert J. and Ora G. (Straver) Bopp. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, preceded in death by parents; beloved brother, Bernard E. Bopp; and dear friend, Marjorie Plance.

Survived by nephew, Bryan A. Bopp, Johnstown; nieces, Beverly A. Bopp, Johnstown, and Brenda J. Bopp, Somerset; and close relative, Beatrice Cameron, Johnstown.

Member of Mount Hope U.M.C., Mount Hope (South Fork). Dorothy was a graduate of Johnstown High School, class of 1942. She served in the US Coast Guard (WR) from 1944 – 1946. Graduate of Edison Community College, Fort Myers, Florida; where she earned an associate degree of science in nursing and became a licensed registered nurse. She worked for Rockland State Hospital, Orangeburg, New York; Shell Point Village, Fort Myers, Florida; and retired from Memorial Hospital, Johnstown.

Honoring her wishes there will be no public visitation. A graveside inurnment service with military honors at Mount Hope Cemetery will be planned for a later date. Arrangements by Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.
