Michael W. Mitchell, 74, of Maquon, IL., passed away at 1:57 a.m., on Saturday, April 11, 2020, at Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria, IL. He was born October 2, 1945, in Maquon, to Beryl and Grace (Barlow) Mitchell.
Michael is survived by three children, Brian D. Mitchell of Maquon, Alisa (Kory) Endress of Brimfield, and Jason M. Mitchell of Maquon; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his special companion, Bailey.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Richard Mitchell.
Michael served in the Army Reserves for 6 years. He was a coal miner for over 10 years. He also worked at Maytag where he retired from after nearly 20 years.
A private graveside service with immediate family only will be held at Maquon Cemetery at a later date.
