Wilma June Nance (June) 93, of Kansas City passed away from natural causes at approximately 8:15 Am Saturday March 28, 2020 at Wexford Assisted Living in Kansas City Missouri. She was a resident there since June 2014 after moving from Parsons to stay close to immediate family.

She was born June 1, 1926 in McCune KS to Vessa May and Will DeMoss. She attended school at and graduated from Parsons High School in 1945.

On June 7, 1946 she and Arthur Walter Nance were married in Parsons, Kansas. Together they had five children (one still born). June was a devoted wife, mother, friend, grandmother, and great-grandmother, spoiling them whenever she could. She was a kind and thoughtful person, an excellent cook, avid jigsaw puzzle enthusiast and reader. She was a member of the 1st Christian Church in Parsons and attended when health allowed.

She is survived by daughter Jean Marie (Harry) Malmberg of Columbia, MO, daughter Katherine Ann (Stephen) Clark of Overland Park, KS, son Arthur Raymond of Retreat, TX, son Donald Lee (Cathy LeAnn), of Kansas City, MO, brother Billy J. DeMoss, of Baldwin, KS, eight grandchildren: Jay Nels (Wendy) Malmberg of Milton, WV, Erica Lynn Malmberg of Columbia, MO, Hilary Nicole (Matthew) Bott of Brighton, MI, Brian James (Erin) Clark of Olathe, KS, Kurtis Ray (Melisa) Nance, of Forney, TX, Rebecca Dawn Nance, of Mesquite, TX, step-granddaughters Kelly Kathleen (Greg) Harris of Plattsburg, MO, and Rachel Elizabeth (Justin) Kessinger of Mt Juliet, TN, as well as 14 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death was her husband Arthur (Dec. 2012), mother Vessa May, father Will, sisters Jewell, Virginia, Myrtle, Naomi, brother Leo, and daughter-in law Nancy.

Due to national COVID-19 virus restrictions a private funeral service on April 3, 2020 will be at Oakwood Cemetery. A memorial service will be held later at the Carson-Wall Funeral Home on July 18, 2020. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association. These may be left at or mailed to the funeral home, P.O. Box 942, Parsons, KS 67357.
