Glenda K. (Clark) Ventle-Reynolds (76) of Labette City, Kansas went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday evening, April 9th, 2020 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Missouri following a brief illness.
Glenda was born on December 24th, 1943. She attended and graduated from Labette County High School in 1962. Through the years, Glenda babysat, worked at the Berry Garment Factory in Oswego and Chetopa, Kansas, the Kansas Army Ammunition Plant in Parsons, Kansas, and later retired from Labette County Medical Center.

Glenda married Carl (Gene) Ventle on August 5, 1962 in Miami, Oklahoma. They were married for 47 years before he passed. Glenda married Troy Reynolds on February 14, 2014 in Labette City, Kansas. They have been married for 6 years.

Glenda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed being with her family and friends, getting picked on by her grandkids, getting her hair fixed, dancing, and eating breakfast at Pizzo’s with her husband, Troy. She was an active member of the Labette Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Troy, of the home, one sister, Judy Ewing of Erie, two daughters, Carla Blackburn and her husband, Rocky, of Parsons and Marla Cook and her husband, Rick, of Oswego, one daughter-in-law, Rhonda Ventle-Anderson of Oswego, one step-daughter, Melinda Lawrence and her husband Wayne of Hallowell, seven grandchildren who made her known by Nan Fro, Edie Barber and Korie, Michael Ventle, Craig Cook and Beth, Justin Ventle and Terry, Broc Cook and Emily, Rocky Blackburn Jr. and Abby, and Jayly Cook, and 6 great-grandchildren, Quaiden Ventle, Ella Ventle, Jenaka Ventle, Ellie Barber, Emmie Barber, Kimbrey Cook, and one on the way; many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Eugene (Gene) Ventle, her son Randy Ventle, her sister Sandra Bennett, her parents, and grandparents.

Due to the COVID-19 precautions, there will not be a public memorial service until later announced. The immediate family will gather at Fairview Cemetery with Pastor Tom Heflin officiating and lay Glenda to rest next week. Memorials are suggested to Children’s Miracle Network or to the Labette Baptist Church. These may be left at or mailed to the Carson-Wall Funeral Home, P.O. Box 942, Parsons, KS 67357.
