Born in Providence, a son of the late Thomas H. Hennessey, Jr. and Kathleen E. (Tamboe) Hennessey, he lived in Warwick for most of his life. He was very proud of his Irish heritage.
Mr. Hennessey was a dedicated employee of Mc Leod Optical Co. in Warwick for 46 years, retiring 9 years ago. After retirement, he could be found frequenting Oakland Beach and Conimicut Point. He was an avid fisherman and lover of animals.
He is survived by a sister, Marjorie E. Curtis of Tolland, Connecticut; and was the beloved uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Kathleen M. Staley and Thomas H. Hennessey, III.
His funeral and burial will be private. A memorial celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
