Donald Brewer, age 86, of Wellington, Kentucky, formerly of Morehead, passed away Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Thompson Hood Veterans Center in Wilmore.

Born July 26, 1934, in Menifee County, he was a son of the late Joe and Liza Hampton Brewer. In Addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alberta "Jo" Law Brewer; one stepson, Barry Beatty, and one stepdaughter, Lori Dennis.

Donald is survived by two brothers, Jess Brewer and wife Kay of Wellington and Dean Brewer and wife Lynda of Lexington; two sisters, Lola Patrick (Widow of Meril) of Wellington and Jo Ann Pugh and husband Doug of Winchester; a stepdaughter, Jane Bosworth (widow of Dennis) of Wilmington, Ohio; special friend, Josephine Morris of Morehead, as well as a host of step-grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; extended family and friends.

Donald was a U.S. Air Force veteran having retired as a Technical Sergeant on January 31, 1973, after 21 years of service. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal w/1 Bronze Star; Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon w/ 4 Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters; and Air Force Good Conduct Medal w/2 Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters. He was the service manager at Don McKenzie Ford for a number of years and a former employee of the Bluegrass Army Depot and Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals.

Donald was a " people person" who never met a stranger and enjoyed family and friends alike. He enjoyed collecting diecast cars and was an avid sports fan, especially watching and traveling to NASCAR events. He was a member of big Woods Community Church.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 A.M. Monday, July 19, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals Memorial Chapel with his brothers, Jess Brewer and Dean Brewer officiating. Burial will follow on Brown Cemetery with full military honors by Morehead American Legion Post 126.

Pallbearers: Kenny Wayne Patrick, Jerry Dale Patrick, Steve Brewer, Greg Brewer, Oscar Brewer, and Jody Pugh.

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, July 18, 2021, at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals, 400 Fraley Drive, Morehead, Kentucky 40351.
