David “Dave” Clay Godfrey of Hudson passed away Friday, April 10, 2020 at his residence.
Born June 27, 1951 in Tallapoosa, GA he was the son of the late Robert Clay Godfrey and Virginia Estelle Marino Godfrey.
Dave was a member of Harris Chapel Baptist Church, and sales manager for Martin Family Ford for 25 years. He loved his dogs and watching football. Most of all Dave loved his family and cherished is grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Kathy Ballard Godfrey of the home; sons Matthew Godfrey of the home, Clay Godfrey and wife Lori of Conover, NC; his daughter Tonia Matthews of Lenoir; grandsons Michael, and Gabriel Scott; sister Lisa Garrison and husband Rev. Paul Garrison of Taccoa.
A graveside service will be held at Tuesday, April 14, 2020, 1:00 p.m. Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, Lenoir.
