OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN)

James Arthur Mills, Jr., 67, of Peru, Indiana, died at 8:52am Friday, November 17, 2006 at Dukes Hospital in Peru. He was born April 14, 1939 in Peru to James Arthur and Louise (Mooney) Mills.

He retired from the Wabash City Sewage Plant in February 2006, after 11 years. He also worked for Norfolk & Western Railroad, in Peru, several years. He was a member of the Peru Moose Lodge #249 since 1972. Jim was an avid reader and enjoyed collecting coins. He also liked cars, was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, and was a lifelong Peru resident.

He is also survived by his sister, Evelyn Townsend of San Rafael, California; his brother, John (Jane) Mills of Peru; two nieces, Annette (Robert) Mills McCallen of Wabash and Colleen Townsend of San Rafael; two nephews, Jess E. Townsend, Jr. of San Rafael and Michael Mills of Peru. He was preceded in death by one brother, Terry Mills, who died January 10, 2004.

Funeral services will be held at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, on Wednesday, November 22, 2006 at 2:00pm with Pastor Rebecca Fisher officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Peru. Friends may call 12-2pm Wednesday Nov 22 at the funeral home. Preferred memorial is Mooseheart, 155 International Drive, Chicago, Illinois 60682
