Ruth Ann Kemp
April 8, 2020:

Ruth Ann Kemp, 74, of Fulton formally of Holts Summit, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at St. Mary's Hospital in Jefferson City, Missouri.

Ruth Ann was born March 20, 1946 in Union, Missouri, the daughter of Chat and Viola (Duncan) Spurgeon, who preceded her in death.

Ruth Ann was married February 11, 1977, in Jefferson City, Missouri, to Clyde "Wally" Kemp. Wally preceded her in death February 5, 2003.

Ruth Ann retired from Unilever, formally Cheesebrough Ponds, in 2004 as production support.

Ruth Ann was of the Baptist faith, enjoyed working in her flower gardens when she was able too, going to the casino and watching wreath making videos.

Survivors include her daughter, Kimberly Kemp of Fulton; one brother, David Spurgeon (Sharon) of Houston, Missouri; two sisters, Nancy Hern of Cabool, Missouri and Wilma Treese (Dale) of Auxvasse Missouri; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ruth Ann was also preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Walker; four brothers, Bobby Spurgeon, Freddie Spurgeon, Billy Spurgeon and Mark Spurgeon.

Due to the present healthcare precautions private family services will be held Monday, April 13, 2020, at Debo Funeral Home in Holts Summit with the Reverend Mike Crowson officiating. Burial will follow in Summit Memorial Park in Holts Summit.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
