Brenda Gayle Lane passed away peacefully April 5, 2020 with her loving companion of 16 years, John H. Tompkins at her bedside in their Hideaway Lake home. Brenda was born January 1, 1942 in Sweetwater, TX to Landis Edwin and Alice Gene Ward who preceded her in death. After graduating and being the "weather girl" for TV stations in Laredo and Midland Texas she moved from Odessa to Dallas in the early 1970. And, she began a very successful career with a national agency, Channel 8, KRLD and her own agency. She was Hall of Fame member of "Broadcaster Association". Due to COVID-19 there will be no service. She ask that contribution be made to Hospice and/or SPCA.
