Martha Kennedy, age 87, of Granite Falls, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 8, 2020, at Hickory Falls Health & Rehab in Granite Falls, North Carolina. She was born November 10, 1932, daughter of the late Walter and Ella Smith Proffitt
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Fitzhugh Eanes and Otis Kennedy; one son Raymond Eanes.
Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, Thomas Eanes (Belinda Vance) of Lenoir and Gregory Eanes of Beckley, WV; one daughter, Judy (Dennis) Pauley of Williamsburg, VA; one sister, Leatha Pietron of Pittsburgh, PA; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
A Graveside Service is scheduled to be held at "Iaeger Memorial Cemetery, in Roderfield, West Virginia on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at 2:00 pm with the Reverend Darrell Long Officiating. Douglas Mortuary of Welch, West Virginia and Mackie-Whisenant Funeral Home in Granite Falls, N.C. are both honored to be serving the family.
