Shawn Preston Hughes passed away unexpectedly on April 2, 2020 at the age of 31. He was born on August 11, 1988 in Little Rock where he lived for the majority of his life. He was a multi-talented individual that seemed to excel in whatever he chose to do. Shawn could play any instrument that he picked up and along with his brother Brandon, could and would give impromptu concerts for family and friends showing that music was very influential in his life. Through his life he had a dream of becoming a commercial architect which led him to study and learn the art of pen and ink. He gave his works out to family and friends as special memories to be cherished. Shawn was also talented in any sports that he attempted and made numerous friendships that still survive today. He was a “hands on” type of husband and father by being involved in his daughters and wife’s life.

He is survived by his wife, Jessica; their three daughters, Summer, Harlyn and Scarlett, of Benton; his brother, Brandon and his wife, Erika; their son, Bryant of Wichita, Kansas; his brother, Zack Ward, of Sherwood; his parents: mother, Tanya Ward, father, Robert Ward, of Sherwood; and grandparents, Larry and Delores Bryant of Wichita, Kansas. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends will also treasure memories of him.
