Polly Lou Bailey Collins, age 71, of Lenoir passed away on Monday, October 23, 2017 at her home.
Born November 14, 1945 in Logan County, West Virginia, Polly was a daughter of the late Elic and Inez Osbourne Bailey. In addition to her parents, Polly was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Jo Collins; four sisters, Betty Lou Osborne, Brady Boyd, Pearl Johnson, Shonnie Brooks; a brother, Roger Bailey; and a grandson, Joshua Martin Collins.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Billy J. Collins; four daughters, Paula Collins, Barbara Collins, and Elizabeth McDonald; three sons, Billy Collins, Jr., Spencer Collins (wife Carol) and Jeffery Collins (wife Kristen); a sister, Lessie Brooks; she is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and numerous other relatives.
A celebration of Polly’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Service at 2:00 PM.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
