Terry Sanders, age 62, of Slater, died Wednesday, April 8, 2020.

A private family graveside service will be held on Monday, April 13, at Slater City Cemetery.

Weiker Funeral Home in Slater is in charge of the arrangements.

Terry W. Sanders, 62, of Slater, died Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at his home.

Due to the current regulations regarding COVID-19 and public gatherings, a private family graveside service will be held Monday, April 13, 2020 at Slater City Cemetery, with Rev. Terry Sandwith officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Slater Public Schools Sports Program in care of Weiker Funeral Home.

Born March 16, 1958 in Marshall, he was the son of the late William D. Sanders and Kathryn Allyne Gotmer Sanders, who survives of Slater.

Also surviving are three daughters, Robyn Sanders and Alissa Fowler, both of Slater, and Nicole Campbell of Marshall; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Donald Sanders and Billy Sanders, both of Slater, and Timothy "Rusty" Sanders of Columbia; four sisters, Patricia Zdybel, Kathy Crowley, and Dorothy Perry, all of Slater, and Beverly Narron of Evansville, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Ryan Sanders.

Mr. Sanders was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church in Slater, and a 1976 graduate of Slater High School. He worked at BHA, GE, Clar-Cor, and Parker-Hannifin for over thirty years as supervisor of the cage building.
