Raymond "Sarge" Klinger Sr. was born in Mt. Carmel, Pa., to the late Elmer Franklin and Margaret (Rowe) Klinger. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force as a aircraft electrician, serving in World War II, the Korean War and Vietnam. He retired after 20 years in 1972. He married Mable "Lou" Truehitt, May 12, 1961, and was a member of the First Apostolic Church of Lacy-Lakeview.
Surviving him are his wife, Mable "Lou", of Bellmead; daughter, Rebecca Passmore, of Va.; sons, Raymond M. Klinger and wife, Bren, of Colorado, Daniel T. Klinger and wife, Leanne, of Eddy, and Raymond C. Klinger, Jr., of Axtell; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Carol Wetzel, of Pa. and Edie Fetterman and husband, Harry, of Pa.; brothers, Robert Klinger and wife, Brenda, of Fla., Marlin Klinger and wife, Sandy, of N.C. and Elmer Klinger and wife, Emma, of Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
