Family graveside services for Mrs. Lois Christy Sanders, 89, of Longview, will be held at Rusk County Memorial Gardens with Dr. James Pierce officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sanders passed from this life on April 9, 2020, at Summer Meadows in Longview.
She was born October 3, 1930, in Beaver County, Oklahoma to the late Dr. Fredrick Leaming and Clara (Reeder) Leaming.
Mrs. Sanders retired as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) and was a member of Greggton First Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vern Eugene Christy; and sisters and brother, Carole King, Daryl Leaming, and Twila Klaus.
Survivors include her husband, L. Morris Sanders of Longview; sons, Fred Christy and wife Pamela of Longview, and William David Christy of Carthage; brother, Eddie Leaming of Colorado Springs, Colorado; grandchildren, Monica Searcy, Kim McGuire, Stephanie Rice, Ron Pierce, Joey Christy, and Davy Christy; 16 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Honorary pallbearers will be Davy Christy, Joey Christy, Ron Pierce, Colton Searcy, Trenten McGuire, and Mike Rice.
