Thomas H. McKinney, 84, went to Eternal Rest on February 28, 2020 at home in the presence of his son and daughter-in-law. Born September 22, 1935 in Johnstown, son of Philip and Arvilla (Schemerer) McKinney. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Florence (Kodgis); daughter, Kathleen; brother, Donald; sister-in-law, Carol (Bagley) McKinney; and father and mother-in-law, John and Mildred Kodgis. Survived by son, Thomas J. (Joanne Swanger); step grandchildren, Michele (David Cauffield) and Randy Miller; step great grandchild, Saige Miller; companion and dear friend, Mary Maser; brothers, William (Theresa Gergley), and Warren; sisters, Ann, and Phyllis (Dave Schlosser); brother-in-law, Ronald (Terri) Kodgis; and numerous nieces and nephews. Tom served in the US Navy aboard the USS Monrovia during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Barbershop Quartet Singing Society (S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A.) for over 50 years. His quartet, "The Suncoasters" competed with other quartets from around the world in the 1976 International Competition in San Francisco. Tom was awarded Barbershopper of the Year in 1969, 1981, 2001, and 2006. The McKinney family sincerely thanks Interim Healthcare Hospice for their caring and compassion. Friends received from 3 until hour of service at 6PM Tuesday at Henderson Funeral Home-East Hills, 2503 Bedford St.
