Clara Sims Sims Fields
July 3, 1934 – November 18, 2016
Clara Marie Sims Fields was born July 3, 1934 in Edwardsville, Illinois to Elizabeth Adel Sims and Fred Oliver Sims, Sr. Clara went home to be with the Lord November 18, 2016. She was the fourth and youngest of the children to Fred and Adel Sims.
The Sims family moved to Houston, Texas in 1945 and has remained in the area since. Clara graduated from Reagan High School and was a proud member of the Regan Red Coats.
Clara was a member of First Baptist Church of Willis. She loved the Lord and was blessed by his Love always and forever.
Clara had eight Great Grandchildren whom she adored. Colton Ryan Griffin, Caitlyn Renee Griffin, Carleigh Reese Griffin, Daniel Thomas Miller, Logan Philip Miller, Matthew Joseph Miller, Hunter Daniel Phillips and Peyton Kendall Phillips. She had three step children, five step grandchildren, and two step great grandchildren all remaining in the Houston area her and Jack shared together.
Mrs. Fields is preceded in death by her parents, Brother Fred, Jr. and Violet Robinson, son Rusty Snell, and spouse of 45 years, William Jack Fields.
Clara is survived by her only living sibling, Rev. William Robert Sims and resides in Penn Valley California, daughter Tina Marie Picou and spouse, Keith of Cypress, Texas. She has three grandchildren, Courtney Renee Griffin and spouse Chris, Nicole Marie Miller and spouse Scott, and Jacob Adam Phillips and spouse Christian.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 11am at First Baptist Church of Willis, 12177 I-45S Willis, TX 77378
