Mae I. Nichols, 104, of Seymour died noon Tuesday (Jan. 20, 1998) in Covenant Medical Center, Urbana.

Mrs. Nichols was born in Bondville on March 23, 1893, the daughter of Christopher and Elizabeth Blank.

She was a member of Seymour United Methodist Church, Seymour Over 50 Club, former member of United Methodist Women, Seymour American Legion Auxiliary 1256 and Commander Champaign County U.S. Navy Mothers 117.

She married Rudolph M. Nichols in Chicago on May 4, 1920. He preceded her in death on April 30, 1982.

Surviving are her sons, Bus Nichols of Seymour; Royal Nichols of Champaign; daughter, Vernie Cook of Seymour; six grandchildren; 18 greatgrandchildren; 20 great-great-grandchildren; one great-great-. stepgrandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons and one grandson.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, Monticello, with the Rev. Gary Fairchild officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services. Burial will be in Monticello Cemetery.

Memorials: Seymour United Methodist Church or donor's choice.
