Jerry D. Hunt Sr., of Lake Placid, Florida, passed from this earth on Thursday, April 2, 2020, due to complications from COVID-19. He was born in Springfield, Ohio on October 9, 1937. After 26 years in the U.S. Air Force, he retired as Master Sergeant. He also retired from The National Weather Service. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church in OKC. Jerry is survived by his wife, Rosita Hunt, of 56 years; 3 children and their spouses - Lisa Dunsmore, Linda & Kevin Orr, Jerry Jr. & Sabrina Hunt; 6 grandchildren with their spouses and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents: George Hunt and Catherine Burns.
He was laid to rest at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Avon Park, Florida, on Monday, April 6, 2020, at 12:30 p.m.
