Linda Ann Alexander, daughter of Floyd and Ella Marie Greeves Parker, was born October 31, 1942, in Kansas City, Missouri. She departed this life Monday, September 2, 2019, in Lebanon South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-six years, ten months, and two days.

On June 4, 1960, in Anchorage, Alaska, she was united in marriage to Francis Ray Alexander, and to this union two sons were born.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Harland Parker; and a sister, Gail Rucker.
Linda is survived by her loving husband of fifty-nine years, Francis, of the home; two sons, Shane Alexander, and his wife, Dana, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Steve Alexander, and his wife, Liesa, of Lebanon, Missouri; four grandchildren, Rick Alexander, and his wife, Michelle, Courtney Gann, and her husband, Cole, Cody Alexander, and Cole Alexander; eight great-grandchildren, Danielle Payne, and her husband, Venny, Makayah Alexander, Tyler Swalley, Kayle Alexander, Joshua Alexander, Carter Gann, Addy Alexander, and Dakota Chastain; a great-great-grandchild, Emery Payne; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

She was raised in Alaska, where her father worked in the oil fields and farmed, and then lived there for several of her young adult years. After she and Francis were married, they moved to Lebanon, Missouri and made their home. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her husband and family, Linda also worked for the H. D. Lee Company for several years. Later, she was a cook at the Countryside Manor for a time.
Linda followed the Pentecostal faith and was a member of Sleeper Pentecostal Church, where she served as treasurer for a number of years.
She enjoyed cooking and loved having her family around her. She was never afraid to share her opinions on things and was always steadfast in her convictions. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed all of her grandchildren.
Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will hold tight to the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
