He was born on February 13, 1938 in Timberlake, South Dakota, the son of Maybell Gibson.
On December 19, 1959 he was married to Donna Lee Davis. She preceded him in death on June 11, 2006.
Willie was a farm laborer for the majority of his life. He enjoyed working at the Riley City Landfill, visiting with the people that came with their grass clippings and tree limbs and taking his dogs to run.
He is survived by one daughter, four sons, and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Donna Gibson, he was preceded in death by his mother, Maybell Masson and one son, Shane Del Gibson.
A private family graveside service will be held in the Home Sweet Home Cemetery near Lebanon, Kansas. The family will have a Celebration of Life service for him at a later date.
