Patricia Ann “Patti” (Happel) Grannan, 83 of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at the Linda E. White Hospice House. Patti was born during the 1937 flood on February 5th in Evansville, IN.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother; a talented seamstress; avid gardener and enjoyed and reading. She authored and published several family memoirs in 2009 and 2010. In her younger years, Patti worked as a bookkeeper at Mater Dei High School. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Southern Indiana and worked for many years as a counselor at the Chrysalis Home for Women with Addictions. Patti was an active member of St. Agnes Catholic Church; where she was a member of the choir and founded the CASH (Christian Adults Staying Healthy) exercise group for senior citizens.

Surviving Patti are her husband of 60 years, Richard Vincent “Dick” Grannan; two sisters, Betty (Jim) Schenk and Edith (Mark) Smith; children, Michele (Mark) Jolly, James (Cara) Grannan and Gerald A. (Judith) Grannan; grandchildren, Emily (Drew) Robards, Lesley (Chad) Goelzhauser, Logan Grannan, Anthony (Donna) Catanese, Jessica Grannan and Gerald R. (Arielle) Grannan and five great grandchildren.

Patti was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Marie (Miller) Happel.

Due to the current health crisis a private family visitation will be held at Pierre Funeral Home on Saturday, April 11, 2020. Private funeral services and burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Published in Courier Press, April 10, 2020.
