So sorry to hear of Barb's passing. Like my sibliings, I too have nothing but pleasant memories of your entire family, and of our mothers sharing coffee. I remember Kathleen coming over with Barb, and we'd play with colored marshmallows and toothpicks, but mostly just ate the marshmallows. I know Barb remained a good friend to my mom, Joan, throughout her life. For that I am grateful. My most sincere sympathy to all the Witzelings at the loss of such a wonderful lady.

I remember Barb from fifty years ago, as a friend and fellow kaffeeklatscher with my mother, Joan, who went to high school with Barb. I _just_ remember the house at 4026 Lori Circle being built when I was 4 years old. A granite boulder from digging the foundation to the home ended up in the front yard of the home where I grew up, at the time next door to Witzelings' house, with a vacant lot between us. I remember one year, I might have been ten years old, and it was May Day. I brought some candy and flowers to the door at 4026, rang the bell, and ran around the corner, as was a custom among certain families. Mrs Witzeling spotted me peeking around the corner, and had just begun to give me heck for it, when she noticed the flowers on the porch, smiled at me, and saw me run away. She was a nice lady, an amazing woman to raise ten children in a house that was not huge. Strangely, I had just been thinking about the family last week, and asking myself if I could remember all of the children's names. I made it to nine, and knew I was missing the youngest child, who I knew was one of three girls in a row, but I just couldn't remember her name. I haven't seen you in more than forty years, Kathleen, so please forgive my memory. I am thinking of all of you at this time when no words can soften the hardness of your loss. Selig sind die Toten, die in dem Herrn sterben von nun an. Blessed are the dead, who die in the Lord, from henceforth
