Dennis M. Richards, 77, of Danville, passed away at 2:44 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2020, at his home.

Dennis was born Nov. 27, 1942 in Danville to James and Mildred Hinton Richards. He married Cathy Duke in Danville. She preceded him in death.

Surviving are one son, Darren (Dawn) Richards of Fairmount; two daughters, Debbie (Jeff Gooch) Richards of Sidell and Karen (Michael) Marana of Catlin; one brother, Cecil Richards of Valparaiso, Indiana; six grandchildren, Danyale (Tyler) Richards, Derrek Richards, Jeremy (Holli) Gooch, Alex Monson, Tori (Blake) Arlington and Ariel Marana and three great-grandchildren, Ethan, Rosalie and Lincoln.

He was also preceded in death by two brothers, James and Robert Richards.

Dennis was a sheet metal worker. He was a member of the Catlin Masonic Lodge and the Union Local 218. He enjoyed fishing and coin collecting.

Private graveside services will be at Sunset Cemetery
