Lydia Mae Adams French, age 99, of Goodwin, died Wednesday, April 8, 2020. She had been in poor health for the past several years.

Mrs. French was born May 21, 1920, in the Salem Community, and would have celebrated her 100th birthday. She was the daughter of Frank Ritter Adams and Elsie Mae Wheeler Adams. She lived in St. Francis County most of her life, had been an employee of VanHeusen Shirt Factory, she was raised in the Christian Faith and attended the Salem United Methodist Church.

Mrs. French married Floyd French in 1935, and after seventy-one years he preceded her in death in 2006. She is survived by two daughters; Gussie Michaelis of Goodwin and Virginia Levitt of Jacksonville, Florida, one son, Anthony French of Goodwin, eight grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and sixteen great-great-grandchildren, one sister-in-law, one brother-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
