Rita Rose of Rowlett, TX, passed away December 27, 2018, at the age of 80. She was born December 20, 1938, in Wharton, TX, to Clarence Wesley Brown Sr. and Joetta (Helfer) Brown. Rita worked as a legal secretary until 1985 when she and her husband, Percy Rose, opened Rose Adjusting Company specializing in inland marine insurance. She attended First Baptist Church in Garland. Rita loved to shop in little boutiques, and she especially enjoyed time spent at home keeping up with her family she loved so much.

Rita is survived by sons: Jon Rose and wife Diane of Waco, TX, Ricki Rose and wife Gayla, and Micki Rose and wife Jennifer all of Rowlett, TX; sister: Shirley Jansky of Austin, TX; grandchildren: Tony, Chealsea, Niccole, Jessica, Jacob, Zachary, Sommer and Lauren Rose; great-grandchildren: Ason, Avery and Ariana. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband in 2000.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at Rest Haven Funeral Home – Rowlett Location with Pastor Rick Donaho officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family will gather with friends prior to the service beginning at 1:00 pm.
