Mattie Mae Oliver Rich Lawrence, 84, of Roanoke, passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jones & Sallie Lynch Oliver; brother, Owen Oliver; half brothers, Charlie Martin, Jim, Tom, and Bill Oliver; and half sister, Carrie Janney. She is survived by her son, David O. Rich of Roanoke; sister, Mary Ronk of Roanoke; brother, Charles Oliver of Roanoke; two grandchildren, David A. Rich and Randall S. Rich & wife, Holly; four great-grandchildren, Devon, Logan, Hannah, and Danielle Rich; and three special nieces, Brenda Mason, Diane Woodford, and Peggy Chapman. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 10, 2007 at the funeral home. Funeral services will be conducted at Lotz Salem Chapel on Saturday, August 11, 2007 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. Arrangements are being handled by Lotz Funeral Home, Salem.
