Suggested edit: Obituary:- "James Quentin Ogden was born on April 7, 1922 in Rogers, Arkansas to Frank Floyd and Iris (Holyfield) Ogden. He passed away on April 8, 2020 at his home in Pryor at the age of 98 years and 1 day.
Quentin married Patricia Marie Strasser on August 28, 1943 in Liberal, Kansas and from this union came three children. Patricia preceded him in death on December 11, 1997.
Quentin volunteered for military service on December 8, 1941 and was inducted into the United States Army Air Corp January 5, 1942. He graduated from cadet school, as a pilot, on June 25, 1943. He flew in combat missions in the European Theatre in operation with the 446 Heavy Bomb group as first pilot. He was shot down over enemy territory on his 20th combat mission and after evading the enemy for one month; he was captured and spent the remainder of the war as a German P.O.W. in Stalag #1, Barth, Germany. He returned home in June of 1945. After being honorably discharged, he moved to Pryor in 1946.
After moving to Pryor, he and his best friend father, Frank Ogden, established a new business together in 1950; Chouteau Lime Co. Quentin remained in the Air Force Reserve and flew several types of aircraft at Davis Field in Muskogee. He officially retired from the Air Force on April 7, 1982, as a Lieutenant Colonel. He sold his business in 1982 but continued working until his retirement in 1986.
Quentin married Dottie Marie Miller (Belzer) in June of 2000, in Pryor.
Quentin was very involved in the community over the years, he was a member of the Pryor Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club, Masonic Lodge, American Legion, Veteran of Foreign Wars and Elks Lodge, just to name a few. He was also a board member for 20 years, of what is now, RCB Bank. He also served on the Pryor City Council for 3 terms and on the MUB board for 1 term and was chairman of the authority that had the responsibility for building the Pryor Municipal Airport, south of town and helped at the airport as well as the Pryor Golf Course.
He was a long time member of the First Christian Presbyterian Church, joining in 1948.
He is survived by his wife, son, Rick, daughter, 2 grandsons; two granddaughters; 12 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandson, and son-in-law
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia; son John , daughter, Barrie and grandson, Tim."
