Eric H Christensen, age 64 of Ionia Michigan was called home to the Lord on March 30, 2020. He was born August 31, 1955, the son of Hoyt and Lloyce Christensen.
Eric had an eclectic passion for many things, including his love of family, friends and his dogs. He loved adventure and nature. He camped, fished, canoed and hiked his way across much of the US. He enjoyed growing beautiful plants and flowers and sharing them with friends and family. Eric liked to cook and was famous for his pizza making skills. He had a love-hate relationship with the restoring of antique tractors. Eric and his father spent many hours together in this endeavor and enjoyed a healthy competition at local tractor pulls. Eric will be well remembered for his sense of humor, laughter and willingness to help others.
Eric is survived by sisters Cynthia (Patrick) Templeton of Stanwood, Michigan, Tracye Macauley of Ionia Michigan, Lisa (Geoff) Miller of Konawa, Oklahoma, and Robin Brinkman Hayden of Saranac Michigan, Brothers Jack Christensen of Sand Lake Michigan and Ronald Brinkman of Sunfield Michigan, 12 nieces and nephews and 16 great nieces and nephews.
There will be no funeral services at this time. A celebration of life gathering will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are being cared for by Lake Funeral Home of Ionia. In Lieu of flowers the family requests that you make a donation in Eric’s memory to the Ionia County Animal Shelter or the Ionia Commission on Aging.
