A former hotel operator in New Hamburg and Baden, George T. Zimmerman, died Sunday. December 1 at St. Mary's Hospital at the age of 60.
He was born Aug. 31. 1908 at Maryhill. a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Zimmerman.
A resident of Waterloo for 15 years, he was employed as a public relations officer for Acadian Distillers Ltd., after operating the hotels in Maryhill, Linwood, New Hamburg and Baden.
Surviving are his wife, the former Margaret Logel; one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Betty Lou) Witmer of Urbania. 1ll.; one sister. Mrs. Robert (Elizabeth) Roehrig of Kitchener and one grandchild.
The parish rosary was recited at the Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home last Tuesday.
Prayers were recited on Wednesday at the funeral home, followed by requiem mass at St. Louis Church, conducted by Rev. F. A. Bechely.
Burial took place in Woodland cemetery
