Suggested edit: Germans were always called by the second of the two given names they received at baptism, which in German is the Rufname ("call name"). The first given name was primarily a ceremonial and spiritual name---after a saint or some other biblical entity. (For example, Barbara's spouse was christened Johann Georg, but called Georg---later anglicized to George.)

Barbara was baptized Anna Barbara Höltzle. (The name Helsley was Americanized from the German Höltzle.) And because of the German cultural tradition, she was called by her Rufname, Barbara.

The problem is that Find A Grave isn't set up at all for German naming conventions. If you fill in the name as Anna Barbara, it will call her "Anna Helsley." And if you then try to fill in the nickname field with "Barbara," it will tell you that middle names aren't allowed as nicknames! So you are stuck, for thousands upon thousands of German immigrants, with the name being wrong.

I suggest eliminating the middle name Anna, leaving just Barbara Helsley, and posting this explanation below in the bio, as I have just noted that thousands of people are now copying the name as "Barbara Anna," which is backwards, and wrong.
