STANLEY -- Hubert Luther Roller, 85, of Stanley, and formerly of Staunton, died Thursday (Dec. 14, 1988) at Page Memorial Hospital in Luray.
He was born May 22, 1903 in Covington, a son of Edwin Calender and Mosie Maude (Zirkle) Roller. He was a charter member of the Stanley Lions Club, a director of Farmers and Merchants National bank, a member of the Stanley Masonic Lodge and former Stanley councilman and mayor.
On Sept 11, 1932 he married Kathleen Hamrick.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by a son, Moffett Burgess Roller of Falls Church; a brother, Edwin Berry Roller Sr. of Front Royal; two sisters, Mabel Varney of Baltimore, Md., and Madeline Teafel of Miami, Fla, and one grandson.
A service will be conducted at 8 tonight at Bradley Funeral Home in Luray by Dr. Larry Patton. Burial will be private.
